For clinical grading, the House-Brackmann scale was used, as follows:grade I-IV, partial palsy group grade V-VI, complete palsy group. The patterns were correlated with clinical grade, the electroneurographic (ENoG) findings, and clinical outcome. Thirty cases of temporal bone CT in 29 patients with traumatic facial nerve palsy were analyzed with regard to the patterns of facial nerve canal involvement. To analyse the patterns of facial nerve canal injury seen at temporal bone computed tomography (CT) in patients with traumatic facial nerve palsy and to correlate these with clinical manifestations and outcome. Percutaneous vertebroplasty was a useful procedure for treating painful osteoporotic compression fractures In two patients, pain relief was insignificant, and one of these died. In 73, back pain was relieved within 24 hours in nine, within 48 hours and in one, within seven days. The procedures were technically successful in all patients. The outcome of vertebroplasty was assessed in terms of its efficacy and resulting complications, if any. Routine clinical follow-up examination involved visual analogue pain-scale testing one and two days after vertebroplasty the results obtained were compared with those of preoperative assessment. All patients underwent MRI or CT to assess the recent condition of the fracture, and vertebroplasty was performed under DSA fluoroscopic guidance.
The causes of fracture were slip, lifting, fall, traffic accident, walking, and other unknown causes the duration of pain varied from three days to two years.
